Home-based Education

Tabitha Enabling Academy (TEA) offers home-based education to children who are not able to join mainstream schools. Our teachers go to their homes once or twice a week for at least 2-3 hours to teach them:
  • Daily living skills like personal hygiene
  • Skills to live life independently (learning to scoop their own food, learning to use the toilet, and learning to wash themselves
  • Learning to express their feelings or desires through gestures or facial expression (for the deaf and dumb children), etc.
TEA indirectly shares the gospel and reaches out to these children through stories from the Bible, pictures and songs, etc. Our teachers go to their homes, spend time with them, talk to them, and pray with them. The appointed teachers also in a way educate the parents how to handle their children, especially how to react to their needs without spoiling them.
